The 2026 Annual Congress will be a hybrid event, taking place Aug. 21–25, 2026, at the Thomas Michael Menino Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston, MA and online.

Absolutely! AANA is dedicated to making sure everyone who wants to learn has access to the latest in nurse anesthesiology. 2026 Annual Congress will be a hybrid event featuring both the Live Annual Congress and a Virtual Annual Congress. We will livestream predetermined sessions throughout the event. Visit the 2026 Annual Congress website for more information on our in-person and virtual offerings.
You do not need to be a member to attend; however, there are significant discounts as part of your membership. Learn more about becoming an AANA member.
Guest Passes only allow access to the exhibit hall, Party with a Purpose, and the AANA Honors Reception, not educational sessions. This pass does not allow attendees to claim CEs or provide a certification of attendance to the meeting.
Due to the nature of the meeting, no children under the age of 16 will be allowed in the meeting rooms, exhibit hall or events.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing. If you cannot attend this event or one of the ticketed events, please contact help@aana.com. The cancellation fee schedule is listed below:
Live Annual Congress: Earn up to 25.25 MAC Ed CE credits with 8.5 Pharmacology credits and 4.25 Pain Management credits.
Virtual Annual Congress: Earn up to 16 MAC Ed CE credits with 5.5 Pharmacology credits and 1.5 Pain Management credits.
In-person attendees can only receive CE credit for the sessions they attend live.
Not all sessions will be live streamed. One predetermined session per hour time block will be selected for streaming. Please see the virtual schedule for which sessions will be live streamed before registering.
No, all virtual sessions must be viewed live while the session is being streamed in order to earn CEs.
MAC Ed CE credit can only be earned for participation in synchronous learning via live in-person or live webinar sessions.
Add on a Digital Pass at the time of registration. The Digital Pass will provide on-demand access to 70+ sessions—including video recordings of livestreamed sessions and audio with PowerPoint capture for all others—available to watch for a full year after the event. AANA will present all sessions in Eastern Time (ET), based on the Boston, MA time zone.
AANA is pleased to offer discounted housing blocks for attendees and their guests at various hotels within proximity to the Thomas Michael Menino Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston, MA. The housing link for reserving your hotel room will be provided in your registration confirmation email once you have registered for the conference.

MAC Ed CE credit can only be earned for participation in synchronous learning via live in-person or live webinar sessions. In-person attendees can only receive MAC Ed CE credit for the sessions they attend live.
AANA Board of Directors meeting will be held in Open Session and is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 21, 2026. The timing of the meeting will be determined and posted closer to the meeting. All members are welcome to attend in-person or online. The link to the online Zoom registration (for virtual attendees) is here. Member login is required.
Yes, AANA will hold an interactive hybrid Business Meeting on Monday, Aug. 24, from 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. (ET).
Eligible voting members may participate either in-person or online with a link which will be provided. All participants must use a smart device to participate in the meeting.
Non-voting members will be able to observe the business meeting in person or via a live stream with a link which will be provided. Member log-in is required to access the livestream.
The Business Meeting agenda, Rules of Order, proposed amendments and resolutions, and Hybrid platform (aka Lumi) Instructions will be posted in late June. Member log-in will be required to access the documents.
Note: You must be an Active, voting-eligible member to participate in the business meeting either in person or via the hybrid, LUMI platform.
RRNAs, RNs, APRNs, and Honorary members are welcome to attend the live meeting or view the live stream.
A member does not need to be registered for the Annual Congress if you are only attending the Business Meeting.
Final voting on proposed Bylaw amendments or Resolutions takes place the day following the Business Meeting and lasts 48 hours from opening of the election platform. A notification goes out to all eligible voting members when the voting site is opened.
Party With a Purpose – Take Me Out to the Ball Park… Monday, Aug. 24, 2026 | 6-9 p.m. | Fenway Ball Park
Have a Ball: Annual Congress attendees know that when AANA throws our Party With a Purpose, we knock it out of the park. But this year, we’re knocking PWAP into a park … specifically, Fenway Ball Park. Get special access to the historic home field of the Boston Red Sox as you enjoy amazing food, drinks, and music — and a few surprises that you won’t want to miss.
Shuttle Service: Shuttle buses will run on a rotating schedule from outside the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center to Fenway beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET, with the last shuttle service leaving Fenway at 9 p.m. ET.
Remember to bring your name badge for entry into the venues. Also, please purchase your guest tickets during meeting registration or onsite at the AANA registration desk prior to the event. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the venues.
This year’s event will benefit Room to Grow. They provide parents and caregivers with essential baby and toddler items, strategies and support to promote their children’s development, and connections to community resources that can meaningfully expand their support network.
Bring one or more requested items from the list below, to the AANA Annual Congress REGISTRATION DESK, and an AANA staff member will exchange them for up to two drink tickets to use at the reception. A QR code will be available onsite for those who choose to make a monetary donation instead. NOTE: Drink tickets will be available and donations will be accepted at the Registration desk until 4 p.m. ET on Monday, Aug. 24. Donations will not be accepted at Fenway due to security restrictions.

The AANA Hackathon is a high-energy, in-person innovation experience taking place Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, from 1:30–5:30 p.m. ET during Annual Congress, and is open to all live Congress registrants, including CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists, residents, and RN-APRNs. This event is free to attend, but space is limited. Only 120 seats are available. Save your seat.
Hosted by nurse innovator Rebecca Love, RN, MSN, FIEL, alongside former AANA President and Beyond the Mask podcast host Sharon Pearce, DNP, CRNA, FAANA, FAAN, and supported by expert CRNA/nurse anesthesiologist mentors, this team-based event brings together forward-thinking professionals to collaborate, compete, and create real-world solutions to pressing challenges in nurse anesthesiology. No technology or entrepreneurial experience is required — just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to collaborate.

The College Bowl will only be live in-person on Sunday, Aug. 23, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. ET. There will not be a virtual livestream component this year. Applications to join a College Bowl team are being accepted through April 1, 2026.
The AANA Honors Reception will be held on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 5:30- 7:30 p.m. (ET) and is open to all members and guests. Tickets are $85 (and include two drink tickets) and should be purchased when registering for Annual Congress. Please purchase tickets no later than July 15, 2026, to be guaranteed a ticket. A limited number of tickets may or may not be available onsite. All attendees must have a ticket to be admitted to this event.
The AANA Honors Reception brings members together for a high-energy night packed with music, personal stories, and professional pride. The evening starts with a lively 30-minute cocktail reception, continues with the presentation of AANA’s most prestigious awards as heavy hors d’oeuvres are served, and rolls into an afterparty as the bar reopens for an additional 30 minutes. Mingle with nurse anesthesiology luminaries and be inspired in your own work by their career accomplishments.

You do not need a webcam to attend any of the Annual Congress virtual sessions.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with general information about Annual Congress and links for you to bookmark. A few days prior to the start of programming, you’ll receive an email with all the necessary information to log-in and view sessions.
Claiming CE is the same for both the Live and Virtual portions of Annual Congress:
Following each session, you can evaluate the session by selecting the “CE Evaluation” button. All session evaluations and overall Congress evaluations must be submitted by the evaluation deadline of Sept. 24, 2026, at noon ET. The Mid-Year Assembly is the largest advocacy event for CRNAs
The assembly is designed to prepare nurse anesthetists to effectively advocate on Capitol Hill for protecting and advancing the CRNA profession. By attending, you will gain advocacy skills that promote leadership at the national and state levels, as well as in professional practice.
Hosted annually in Washington D.C., the upcoming Mid-Year Assembly (MYA) will run from April 26-30, 2025.
