Education Committee Delegate Nomination

Apply to serve as a Delegate to the Education Committee — a two-year leadership opportunity for CRNAs who dedicate at least half their time to teaching nurse anesthesia students.

3. Nominate a colleague or mentor for a Lifetime Achievement Award, presented annually at Annual Congress: Learn more. Deadline: March 15
4. Nominate a colleague or mentor for an Educator Award, presented annually at EDGE: Learn more. Deadline: Sept. 1

• From a committee to Foundation Program Reviewer to running for an elected position, AANA has a number of ways for you to contribute to your profession and grow your CV. 

• Join the Educator Network a gathering place to build relationships, collaborate with colleagues, and discover resources that support future CRNAs and advance the profession of nurse anesthesia education.
• Attend the premier event for Didactic Educators in nurse anesthesiology, EDGE, formerly ADCE, in February.
• Register for Annual Congress in August each year and Mid Year Assembly in the Spring.

2. Submit a Manuscript or Editorial for Publication in the AANA Journal.

1. Access the Professional Practice Manual with standards of nurse anesthesiology practice, policy and more. A print version of this manual is available in the AANA Bookstore.
2. Learn more about reimbursement and MIPS.
3. Access Clinical Practice Support including position statements, protocols and practice considerations on ERAS, Dental anesthesia, Cannabis, Ketamine, Malignant Hyperthermia, Pain Management, Infection Prevention and Control and more.
4. Learn about specific practice law & requirements by state including an opt-out map, prescriptive authority, AAs and more.

• Showcase research through a poster presentation at Congress (deadline May 1)
• Remind them about the Resident Emergency Educational Scholarship 
• Read the full list of the 100+ 2025 AANA Foundation Scholarship Programs; learn requirements and then apply here by March 1.
• Apply for resident grants: Dean Hayden Resident Research and Evidence Based Practice;
• Encourage them to become an advocate or AANA Foundation Trustee
• Ask them to represent residents on the Education Committee and other committees. Applications are typically March 1-April 30.
• Provide wellness resources including the Wellness Ambassador Micro-credential, Resident Roundtable, and AANA Helpline information.
• Explore Airway Exchange to engage with scholarly discussions and strengthen your approach to nurse anesthesia education.
