AANA Honorary Membership Awarded to Jeremy Stanley

Rosemont, Ill. — The American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) will present Jeremy Stanley, EA, CFP, AIF, with an Honorary Membership during its 2025 Annual Congress, Aug. 9-13, in Nashville.

AANA Honorary Membership recognizes and pays tribute to an individual’s commitment to the profession of nurse anesthesiology and the AANA. For more than two decades, Stanley has been a tireless advocate for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), also known as nurse anesthesiologists or nurse anesthetists, championing their work, teaching them about the financial aspects and implications of their career choice and representing their voices throughout the CRNA community.

“The nurse anesthesiology profession is a cornerstone to the delivery of patient care, and I am proud to have served it over the course of my career by being a resource of financial and tax health education to CRNAs at any stage in their journey and championing their role as safe healthcare providers…What they do everyday is remarkable,” Stanley added.

Among his contributions, Stanley serves as co-host of the Beyond The Mask podcast, where he fosters discussions about topics relevant to CRNAs including clinical and educational issues as well as leadership, business, policy, and professional advocacy.

Recently, Beyond The Mask co-founded AANA’s 1099 CRNA Institute, a comprehensive educational series that offers detailed guidance and resources tailored specifically for the independent practice of 1099 CRNA/nurse anesthesiologists.

Additionally, Stanley has made a lasting impact through his service on the AANA Foundation’s board, helping to drive initiatives that support the growth and development of CRNAs both professionally and personally.

Stanley’s commitment to teaching and sharing financial growth learnings for CRNAs expands to mentorship and education. Each year, Stanley speaks to CRNAs at numerous hospitals, schools, state associations, private CRNA groups, and AANA events, providing practical financial advice on topics such as retirement planning, tax planning and 1099 strategies.

Drawing on his experience, Stanley authored two books exclusively for CRNAs. “The Wealthy CRNA” lays out a foundational roadmap for CRNAs to plan their financial futures, and “A CRNA’s Life after Anesthesia” helps them plan for retirement. In both books, he empowers CRNAs with the knowledge to build financial security and independence, leveraging his expertise and previous experiences to guide them toward financial freedom.
