AANA Files Notice to Appeal Dismissal of ACA Non-Discrimination Case

In late August, the United States District Court dismissed the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA)’s Writ of Mandamus Petition to compel the Department of Health and Human Services to enforce the Affordable Care Act’s provider non-discrimination provision. While we are disappointed, the fight is far from over.

This week, AANA will file a notice to appeal the dismissal of our case to compel HHS Secretary Kennedy to fulfill the government’s obligation to enforce the non-discrimination provision of the ACA. The AANA respectfully disagrees with the prior ruling and will continue to work tirelessly to ensure private payor compliance with the law.
