Leigh Taylor’s career reflects a deep commitment to mentorship, academic leadership, and provider wellness. As Assistant Program Director, she supports nurse anesthesia residents in achieving clinical excellence while prioritizing their well-being. Her scholarship and service focus on substance use disorder, advancing interdisciplinary efforts to foster awareness, reduce stigma and shame, and promote holistic support for the health of anesthesia providers.
A respected clinical practitioner, published author, researcher, and thought leader in the area of substance use disorders (SUD) amongst impaired health care providers. Nationally recognized public speaker sharing his personal journey, insight, advocacy, and support of CRNAs and SRNAs struggling with mental health issues or SUD. Continues to work with AANA leadership to promote wellness and self-care within our organization.
