Dee Bender

"What is one of the benefits of serving on AANA committees? Members engage in discussions, exchange ideas, and collaborate with peers, enhancing their knowledge and skills in the field of nurse anesthesia. AANA Committee service allows CRNAs the opportunity to influence policy decisions, shape educational initiatives, and advocate for the interests of nurse anesthetists on a national level. Serving on AANA committees fosters networking and camaraderie among colleagues. You will build connections with fellow CRNAs from across the country that not only expands your professional network but also cultivates lasting friendships and support systems. Serving on AANA national committees offers a fulfilling and enriching experience, combining professional growth, advocacy, networking, and leadership development."

Dee Bender, DNAP, CRNA, MNNA

Mark Haffey

"If you have ever considered leadership as something that intrigues you, a great place to start is as a AANA Committee member. Personally, it was the invaluable experience serving on the AANA Public Relations Committee that enabled me to advance in leadership, serve on my state Board, and eventually providing the skills to be AANA Vice-President."

Mark Haffey, MSN, CRNA, APRN, FAANA
