Levels for annual giving:
The Leadership Circle is for donors who contribute $2,500 or more to the AANA Foundation’s Annual Fund and/or Health Services Research Fund within a fiscal year (September 1 – August 31). Each Leadership Circle member is eligible for one ticket to the annual AANA Foundation fundraisers held at Educate, Develop, Grow, Engage (EDGE, formerly ADCE) and at the AANA Annual Congress Fundraiser.

The campaign to RISE Above for Research in Safety & Effectiveness continues to support Health Policy Research – critical, large-scale studies to expand the body of research that confirms that nurse anesthetists are cost effective and safe.
This research aims to educate the spectrum of health care stakeholders and decision-makers about the vital role CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists play in healthcare delivery and the value and quality that they bring to their patients.
Without research evidence, proving the value of CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists is difficult. We welcome you to join us as we RISE Above to further advance and protect your practice and our future.

Support nurse anesthesiology through a legacy gift with the Friends for Life program. The most common planned gifts are tax-favored bequests, trusts, gift annuities, and life insurance policies. The minimum to join with a planned gift is $25,000 or a cash gift or pledge of $25,000 within a five-year period. Please note that the minimum planned gift will increase to $35,000 on Jan. 1, 2025.
The deadline to join Friends for Life is June 15. Friends for Life donors are recognized at the AANA Annual Congress and are acknowledged with beautifully carved and engraved pieces of crystal artwork that are on display permanently in the lobby of the AANA building. Friends for Life donors embrace the Foundation’s mission of advancing nurse anesthesia through education and research and thus envision the need for future funding.

AANA Foundation’s endowment program is vitally important to securing the future for the nurse anesthesia profession. Our endowments provide support to residents and CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists through scholarships and research funding. All funds deposited in an endowment fund are in trust by the AANA Foundation Board of Trustees. These funds are invested in accordance with the general investment guidelines of the AANA Foundation.

The Foundation hosts fundraising events at the AANA Annual Congress and Assembly of Didactic and Clinical Educators each year. cStock Donator provides a secure, fast, and simple online service to donate publicly traded stocks to non-profit organizations. Individual donors log on to https://stockdonator.com and enter the information required to donate stock.
1. In the Organization field type in: American Association of Nurse Anesthetists Foundation 2. Stock Donator collects all entered information and generates the required forms to send on to the donor’s brokerage firm. 3. Some firms may use Medallion Signatures (MS) as an additional means to validate the donation request. If this occurs, additional instructions will be provided. 4. Stock Donator receives the stock donations from the donor’s brokerage firm. 5. Stock Donator provides the stock proceeds net of any fees and service charges to the AANA Foundation after immediately liquidating the stocks donated. 6. To complete the process, Stock Donator provides the donor with the transaction receipts needed to claim the tax deduction for the stock donations.

A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) allows individuals aged 70½ or older to donate directly from their IRA to a qualified charity like AANA Foundation without counting the distribution as taxable income. It may also satisfy required minimum distributions.

A scholarship may be sponsored by an individual or an organization. This program provides assistance to residents involved in a nurse anesthesia program and CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists enrolled in doctoral study. Minimum awards of $3,000 each will be granted annually. In lieu of a resident scholarship application fee this year, new scholarship donors will be charged an annual administrative fee of $150 for a $3,000 scholarship and $250 for a $5,000 scholarship. Individuals or organizations can sponsor a resident nurse anesthetist to attend AANA Annual Congress in-person. Sponsor-a-Resident when registering for Annual Congress or by making a donation through the Foundation’s secure donation page and designating Sponsor-a-Resident.
The Resident Emergency Educational Grant (REEG) Fund is intended to support resident nurse anesthetists experiencing financial hardship due to a natural disaster. To donate to the REEG fund visit the Foundations secure donation page and designate Resident Emergency Education Fund.
