Designed for educators, this immersive, in-person session gives you the hands-on experience and instructional techniques to confidently perform and teach advanced ultrasound assessments. Over four focused hours, you’ll sharpen your approach to peripheral vascular access, gastric content assessment, airway and lung evaluation, intracranial pressure assessment, and hemodynamic monitoring—all through the lens of effective clinical instruction. With just 15 seats available, this workshop is a high-impact opportunity to elevate your teaching and shape the future of anesthesia education.
Part I: Attendees will audit the online didactic content for the Essential Perioperative Point-of-Care (POCUS) course prior to attending the hands-on component.
Part II: The hands-on workshop will occur at the AANA’s 2026 Annual EDGE meeting in Louisville, KY. This four-hour workshop combines didactic education on teaching strategies to perform the essential POCUS studies with hands-on scanning using live models. Participants will demonstrate the essential components necessary for teaching each study. To claim the 4 Class A CE for attending, participants must fill out the Program Evaluation, which will be sent via link to attendees following the conclusion of the workshop.
