AANA Business Meeting: Be Sure to Participate—In Person or Virtually!

  • Aug 5, 2019
The AANA will conduct the business of the association at the 2019 Annual Business Meeting on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at 1:15 p.m. in the Hyatt Regency Chicago hotel. This meeting will be live streamed for viewing by members who cannot attend.
A Bylaws and Resolutions Hearing will take place on Friday, Aug. 9 at 5:30 p.m. in Crystal Ballroom A of Hyatt Regency Chicago. Emergency resolutions may be submitted at this meeting. See business meeting documents for information about submitting an emergency resolution.

The agenda, background materials, proposed bylaw amendments and resolutions, and live stream information are available on the AANA website (member login required) and in the AANA Meetings App. AANA is committed to going green. Therefore, there will be NO hardcopies available onsite. Please print the documents before you arrive if you wish to have a hard copy.

ALL eligible voting members will be able to vote on final versions of the proposed amendments to the AANA Bylaws and Resolutions. The meeting will be live streamed via a link on the AANA website homepage for members unable to attend. NO final votes will be taken onsite during the business meeting.

After the business meeting, the recorded video of the debate for each amendment or resolution will be uploaded to the secure online voting site, linked to the exact wording of the “final” proposed amendment or resolution.

On Sunday, Aug. 11, all eligible voting members will receive an email from AANA with a link to the secure voting site. You will have the opportunity to review the debate related to the proposed amendment and/or resolution and cast a Yes or No vote for approval. The voting site will be open for 24 hours.

On Monday, Aug. 12, the voting site will be closed — assuming that a quorum of 200 members representing 25 states has voted. The results of the voting will be announced on Tuesday, Aug. 13.

Eligible members may vote onsite at the congress. Private voting booths will be available next to Connect Lounge in the Exhibit Hall.
