Escape Room: The Unstable Abdomen - RRNA ONLY
Saturday, Aug. 22 & Monday, Aug. 24
Induction Junction – Fast hands, sharp minds, safe patient
Step into a high-stakes, immersive anesthesia escape room where every second matters. The Unstable Abdomen challenges CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists and RRNAs to manage a rapidly deteriorating patient in shock requiring an emergency exploratory laparotomy. Participants must think critically, communicate effectively, and make life-saving decisions under intense pressure as monitor alarms sound, the surgeon demands action, and the patient continues to decline. Through a series of interactive puzzles, rapid-sequence induction challenges, airway management tasks, medication matching, and massive transfusion decision-making, learners apply real-world anesthesia knowledge in a fast-paced simulation environment.
Demystifying the Transition from RRNA to CRNA: A Panel Discussion
What’s ahead on your journey to becoming a CRNA? Find out from CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists and guest speakers who’ve been where you are right now. You’ll learn about contract negotiations, transitioning to your professional life, and more.
Beyond the Paycheck: Wellness-Aligned Job Selection
You want a job, but not one that will negatively impact your well-being. This session will help new and transitioning CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists learn to assess how prospective positions impact well-being, career longevity, and personal fulfillment.
