SRNA Substance Use Disorder Videos
These videos are the end result of a SRNA assignment as part of meeting the COA requirements for wellness/substance use disorder curriculum within nurse anesthesia education. SRNAs are assigned to write a paper and compile a mini-educational lecture on the risk of substance use disorder in the nurse anesthesia profession, signs and behaviors to identify, and information on how to get help. The SRNAs capture 5 - 7 minutes of their presentation imparting this vital information to a family member, friend, or significant other in their life. The purpose is to build awareness and share the AANA Peer Assistance Helpline (800-654-5167) to call for help when incidents occur or suspicion is raised.
