Jan Stewart Lecture 2017 - TBD

14th in the series: Non-Opioid Anesthesia Considerations for Patients with Substance Use Disorder4th in the series: Non-Opioid Anesthesia Considerations for Patients with Substance Use Disorder

Today’s opioid overdose epidemic is changing the face of both healthcare and society in America, putting pressure on providers to find alternate means of pain control in and out of the operating room. Have you had challenges providing anesthesia for a patient with a substance use disorder? Or do you want to learn more about non-opioid anesthesia techniques? Panel of expert CRNAs will discuss the disease of addiction and anesthesia plan consideration to best care for patients with or recovering from substance use disorder, including medication-assisted treatment.
