Kathryn Jansky Elected Treasurer of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists

16kjansky200Park Ridge, Illinois – Kathryn Jansky, CRNA, APRN, MHS, USA, LTC(ret), a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), recently took office as the 2015-16 treasurer of the 49,000-member American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, headquartered here. Jansky will serve a one-year term as treasurer.
“The treasurer role is multi-faceted, including being a strong board member with focus on the fiscal health of our organization,” says Jansky. “Throughout our history, our successes have depended on having the funds available to meet external challenges to our profession.”
Jansky is a CRNA and veteran, and has long been active in the nurse anesthesia profession at both state and national levels. She has served on various committees, with a passion for both advocacy and education. She is currently employed as a staff nurse anesthetist at Centrum Surgical Center, Greenwood Village, Colo.
A CRNA for nearly 30 years, Jansky graduated from the U.S. Army School of Anesthesia for Nurse Corps Officers, with a master’s degree from Texas Wesleyan University, Fort Worth; and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
