Bruce Weiner Elected Vice President of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists

Park Ridge, Illinois – Bruce Weiner, CRNA, MS, a Certified Registered 16bweiner200Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), recently took office as the 2015-16 vice president of the 49,000-member American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA), headquartered in Park Ridge, Ill. Weiner will serve a one-year term.
 
Weiner is a CRNA and clinical instructor at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, which is dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer. He has long been active in nurse anesthesia, serving in many capacities on his professional associations; boards of directors at the state and national levels. Also active in committees, Weiner has a particular passion for communication, advocacy, technology and safety. He is also an active member in the Florida Society of Oncology, the Florida Nurses Association, and the Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society.

A CRNA for more than 30 years, Weiner received his master’s degree in nurse anesthesiology from the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Delaware.
