On Aug. 21, 1955, Ken married Joyce Siems at Grace Lutheran Church in Oronoco. In 1962, Ken and Joyce, together, established Sekapp Orchard.
Ken was president of both the Minnesota and Wisconsin Apple Growers Associations and he was a member of Calvary Evangelical Free Church for more than 60 years, where he served in many positions. He was also a member of the American Legion.
Ken and Joyce enjoyed traveling the world together. They visited Alaska, South America, Central America, Asia, Hawaii, China and all over the United States. He enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking and collecting many different things. Ken loved maintaining the apple orchard and loved having Google satisfy his curious mind.
