AANA Leadership Summit
Location: Naples Grande Beach Resort
The AANA Leadership Summit is designed to meet the needs of all CRNAs–state association leaders, chief CRNAs and administrators, practice owners and managers, facility leaders, and aspiring leaders. This educational event will include an afternoon of tracks focused on Federal Political Directors, Practice and Facility Leadership (including State Reimbursement Specialists), President-Elect and Government Relations. Of course, as with all AANA activities, students are welcome and encouraged to join the learning.
This program has been prior‐approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists for 14.75 Class A CE credits; AANA Code Number 1037763; Expiration Date 11/10/2019.
American Association of Nurse Anesthetists is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
AANA is an approved provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing, CEP #10862.

Education by Track
The purpose of this track is to provide foundational and advanced skills and information that contribute to successful business and facility leadership.
Federal Political Director Track
The Federal Political Director track is intended for AANA Federal Political Directors and anyone interested in learning more about the AANA Federal Advocacy program. This track will teach important skills for building sustaining relationships with federal lawmakers and promoting the nurse anesthesia profession through effective advocacy techniques.
State Government Affairs Track
As CRNAs seek to implement full practice authority in the states, testifying effectively can be the difference between winning and losing. This track will provide a great learning opportunity and interactive, hands-on experience in testifying before legislators and regulators and responding to difficult questions.State President-Elect Track
The purpose of the State President-Elect track is to enable participants to develop their leadership and governance skills to more effectively serve in an elected position for the board of directors and to provide an opportunity for networking and discussion with other state leaders in similar roles.State Reimbursement Specialist Track
The State Reimbursement Specialist track is intended for both newly appointed and experienced SRSs and anyone interested in learning more about the SRS program. This track is an educational program devoted to reimbursement issues and professional network development, focusing on Medicare, Medicaid and commercial health plans, and on strategies for monitoring and effectively advocating for appropriate coverage of CRNA services in states.
