Analgesia and Anesthesia for the Obstetric Patient: Public Comment Opportunity

The American Association of Nurse Anesthetists is soliciting comments on the draft document Analgesia and Anesthesia Care for the Obstetric Patient, Practice Guidelines.  This document will guide anesthesia professionals who provide obstetric analgesia and anesthesia care.

To guide your response, please consider the following questions:

  • Are there any gaps in the document?
  • Is the information described in the document reflective of current practice?
  • Are there any unintended consequences that may occur as a result of this document?
  • Are there other relevant resources that could be included in the document?

The Practice Committee appreciates your time and expertise to review to offer evidence and practice based comment on the Draft document. Subject matter experts and staff will review comment and reference to accept recommendation, accept with modification or decline with rationale. A deidentified table with comment and resolution will be available following AANA Practice Committee recommendation to the AANA Board of Directors to adopt the document.
