Members of the Peer Assistance Advisors Committee (PAAC) lead the AANA peer support network comprised of State Peer Advisors (SPAs) nationwide.  The peer support network provides assistance and options for resources to nurse anesthetists and student nurse anesthetists facing substance use disorder (SUD) issues - for more information and to seek help see:

The work is committed to educational endeavors and aggressive promotion of prevention modalities; committee members offer confidential assistance, informational support and referral resources in the formulation of guidelines for early recognition, intervention, treatment, long-term recovery, and appropriate re-entry
