Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates/Interdisciplinary Health Care Team Project/Working Group
is the organization responsible for certifying the readiness of international medical graduates (IMGs) to enter accredited residency and fellowship training programs in the United States. IHCTP
is the Interdisciplinary Health Care Team Project which is being undertaken to develop and disseminate a comprehensive educational resource to help newly arriving IMGs more quickly and easily learn about how medicine in America is practiced in an environment in which a whole range of healthcare professionals and support staff contribute to the care of every patient. It was formed in response to hepatitis outbreaks caused by reuse of syringes and other types of substandard care in private physicians' offices in Nebraska, Oklahoma, New York and Michigan. Through the outbreaks, thousands of people suffered because of deficiencies in our medical, legal and disaster response systems. The mission of HONOReform is to promote the lessons of the outbreaks so that these tragedies will never happen again.
CRNA Jason Mabee is a semi-professional racecar driver, competing in Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) races primarily in the Midwest Division but also around the country. Jason is the 2004 Mid-Am Champion, and is currently trying to break into the Indycar series, SPEED Wordl Championship and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
