NNAW 2011 Kick-Off Event
January 21, 2011 – Kansas City, Mo.
NNAW Week Celebration and Fundraiser a Big Success
More than 100 Truman Medical Center (TMC) School of Nurse Anesthesia alumni and friends gathered at the Boulevard Brewing Co., on January 21, 2011 for the National Nurse Anesthetists Week Celebration and Fundraiser. The school hosted this inaugural event to kick off National Nurse Anesthetists Week. Kansas City CRNAs and TMC alumni were invited to attend, with the goal of engaging CRNAs in the Kansas City area while raising money for student nurse anesthetist scholarships. The event featured delicious food, beer tasting, and a silent auction. The evening was a tremendous success and raised nearly $4,000. The funds will enable student nurse anesthetists to participate in medical mission trips throughout the world. Plans are already underway to grow this event. The Second Annual Nurse Anesthetists Week Celebration and Fundraiser will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012.
