National Nurse Anesthetists Week 2011, Kaiser Permanente Fontana and Ontario Medical Centers

Fontana and Ontario, Calif.

The CRNAs at Kaiser Permanente Fontana and Ontario Medical Centers gave an open house buffet to the staff and physicians working in their facilities. This celebration was to thank the surgical staff and perioperative personnel for all of their support and help throughout the previous year. The celebration was scheduled for National Nurse Anesthetists Week as a way to remind everyone that CRNAs are working behind the scenes to provide high quality care for their Kaiser Permanente members.

Lunch was provided at both facilities; additionally, the CRNAs staffed a table in the Medical Office Buildings 1 and 2, to highlight the school of anesthesia and provide information about nurse anesthesia as a career choice. The staff also had an exhibit in the front of the hospital to promote National Nurse Anesthetists Week, featuring photos and general information.

Retired Kaiser Permanente staff CRNAs were invited to come, socialize, and enjoy lunch with old friends, including one of our more recent retirees who brought photos from her latest medical mission in Africa.
