Mary Ann Schmitt, CRNA, passed away peacefully on Thursday July 7, 2011 at the age of 68.  She is survived by her loving daughter, Kim E. Schmitt; her sister, Linda (Tony) Morazan; and her dear friend, Daisy Kubert.  Mary Ann became a nurse anesthetist after graduating from Charity Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia in 1963.  She was a native of Philadelphia, Pa.  She lived and worked in the metro New Orleans, La. area since 1961.  She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
