Mary Ann Edwards Dacus, 74, died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

She was a native of Oconee County, S.C., and the daughter of the late William Thomas Edwards and Berta Thomas Edwards.

Funeral service was 7 p.m. Monday at Bethlehem Church in Gastonia with Rev. Dickie Spargo and Rev. Dale Lawing officiating.

The family received friends at the church from 5:30 until 7 p.m. prior to the service.

Graveside service was at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mountain View Cemetery, North Fairplay Street, Seneca, S.C.

Mary Ann was a member of Bethlehem Church and retired from Gaston Anesthesia Associates as a Nurse Anesthetist.

Survivors include her son, Mike Dacus and wife Jennifer; daughters, Renée Brooks and husband Dale, Beth Dacus and husband Scott, Amy Dacus; former husband and lifelong friend, Harold Dacus; grandchildren, Casey, Gabe, Bennett, Harrison, Brad and Matt; brother Bill Edwards and wife Carolyn; sisters, Lorene Powell and husband Jimmy, Thelma Elrod and Tommie Jo Williams.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Harold Edwards, George Edwards and Eugene Edwards, sister, Dot Bearden.
