Following is a list of the AANA recognition awards along with their nomination or submission deadlines. Please read the award criteria carefully and follow the directions that accompany each award. Incomplete nomination packages cannot be considered.
Nomination packages are reviewed by the Ad Hoc Awards Committee, which recommends two to three nominees to the entire AANA Board of Directors. The Board of Directors makes the final determination as to the award winners. The award winners, their nominators, and their state presidents are all contacted shortly after the winners are selected. However, the nominators of candidates who are not selected to receive an award are not notified because the candidates’ names and nomination packages remain in the pool of candidates for a total of three years (unless selected).
The PR Recognition Award is not based on nominations. Individuals, organizations, state associations, and others follow the submission guidelines to enter this contest. The entries are judged at the Annual Meeting by the AANA Public Relations Committee. The winners are announced during the Opening Ceremonies.
