Of Interest: This was Robert's first deployment for the Air Force. He was the sole anesthesia provider for 700-plus Joint Force Base in Central America. He provided more than 122 anesthetics during humanitarian missions to Honduran Ministry of Health hospitals; this was in addition to routine and emergency cases for U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marines, U.S. Airmen, and dependents/contractors at Soto Cano Air Base in Honduras. Bland is originally from Wilmington, N.C. He has been married for three years to Tukta. They have two daughers: Ashley and Minnie.
