AANA is proud to recognize:
Major J. Benjamin Campbell, CRNA, MS
Military Branch, Rank, and Unit Serving With:
U.S. Army Reserves, Major, 628th Forward Surgical Team (FST) in the Middle East
Reported for Active Duty: August 10, 2003
Hometown: Hot Springs, Ark.
Of Interest: "This is my second deployment in the last 12 months. My wife is also a CRNA (Mary Jane) and we were deployed together to Bosnia from August through November 2002. She just returned from her second deployment to Ft. Sill, Okla., in June. I have been in the Reserves for 17 years. I have a daughter, Ashley, who is attending Mississippi College; a son, Joseph, who is in high school; a stepdaughter, Clesha; and two grandchildren, Lauren and Logan. There are only two CRNAs with the 628th FST providing anesthesia to the most critically injured soldiers. We are a respected, integral part of the FST. I am proud to serve my country but am looking forward to being home with my family when my deployment has ended. Thank you for all those at home supporting me and to Quachita Regional Anesthesia at National Park Medical Center for holding down the fort!"
