Of Interest: CDR Owens was one of the first CRNAs mobilized in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He administered anesthesia in a tent... surgical hospital and FRSS. Of this experience CDR Owens says, "Having never been deployed with the Marines, I was very impressed by the Marine men and women. Very willing to place their lives in harm's way to protect the medical personnel such as me."
