Of Interest: "We are both CRNAs. However, Joey, my husband, in addition to functioning as a CRNA, has for the past four years been serving as a Medical Disaster planner, first in the southern U.S., then within the division of Homeland Security. He has been the military's "go to guy" for planning and implementing appropriate responses (including both military and civilian assets) to chemical and biological warfare. He would never toot his own horn, but I guess it seems like our community would have an interest in a member that stays in the background rather than on the lecture circuit, and utilizes all his knowledge base and skills in the real world setting. In addition to his anesthesia education, he was the 14th Nurse Corp officer in 114 years to receive a Masters in National Security from the Naval War College in Newport, R.I. Hooray for Joey! Lovingly sent by Lorena M. Cosentino, CRNA, wife of CMDR Joseph Cosentino, Jr, CRNA."
