Information for State Peer Advisors
and Peer Assistance Committees

Welcome State Peer Advisors (SPAs), you are a vital part of our advocacy network. This section is for you, and we invite you to help us develop it to meet your growing needs. Look over the State Peer Assistance Advisors - Selection Criteria and Responsibilities and understand that these are just guidelines and suggestions. No one expects that you will accomplish all of the responsibilities, but they do serve as ideas.

If you are not in the habit of exhibiting at each of your state meetings, consider doing it as a way to recruit new members to your committee. Exhibiting benefits your members by letting them know their risk for addiction and aids in developing a pathway to wellness at work. See State Peer Exhibit Suggestions for ideas.

Look over and become familiar with the peer assistance information and resources available through the Peer Assistance homepage. Consider joining CRNASPA, an online discussion group for state peer advisors. Stay connected to your AANA Peer Assistance Advisors, let us know your needs and accomplishments.
