Farley Center at Williamsburg Place - Health Professionals Program - Farley has been treating healthcare professionals since 1985 when it was originally the Virginia Impaired Professionals Program; Dr. William J. Farley, one of the founders, was an anesthesia provider. Farley Center has a 90 day in-residence program, which is recommended for anesthesia providers. They blend the professional patient into a treatment setting that minimizes the sense of uniqueness while recognizing the patient's concerns regarding their professional status (i.e. Licensure issues, career management, professional re-entry problems etc.). 800-582-6066
Hazelden's Health Care Professionals Program is offered at the Springbrook facility in Newberg, Ore. (and coming soon to Center City, Minn.). They have a primary residential program and recommend 60 - 90 days stays to help healthcare professionals recover from addiction and regain their lives. Resurrection Behavioral Health - Addiction Services - Professionals Program in Chicago, on the campus of Saint Joseph Hospital, specializes in high-accountability professionals from healthcare and other fields. Formerly Rush Behavioral Health, RBH provides a variety of treatment programs and services from inpatient detox, if needed, to day and evening structure programs, as well as individualized counseling and specialty groups. 847-493-3500.
Talbott Recovery Campus' Impaired Professionals Program in Atlanta, Ga., was founded more than 35 years ago by G. Douglas Talbott, MD. It is the pioneer program in treating healthcare professionals. Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), promotes the quality and availability of community-based substance abuse treatment services for individuals and families who need them. CSAT works with States and community-based groups to improve and expand existing substance abuse treatment services under the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant Program. CSAT also supports SAMHSA's free treatment referral service to link people with the community-based substance abuse services they need.
Professional Health Program Resource Network (PHPRN) - a website dedicated to helping professionals easily find recovery-related services for those who are in need. While the primary focus has been to assist Physician Health Programs and other Health Professional Wellness Programs, the service is available to all Employee Assistance Programs and others in need of referral resources.
