A number of years ago, the Council for Public Interest in Anesthesia established an informational program in the area of volunteer anesthesia services. The Council has been instrumental in maintaining a liaison with Health Volunteer Overseas/Nurse Anesthesia Overseas Division. The AANA is a patron organization for Health Volunteers Overseas (HVO).
