Researcher of the Year Nomination Form
This award is presented to an individual who has made significant contribution to the practice of nurse anesthesia through clinical research. Nominees must be CRNAs who currently are or have been active in anesthesia research and can be nominated by any AANA member.

Philanthropist of the Year Nomination Form
This award is presented to an individual who has gone beyond the call of duty as a supporter of the AANA Foundation by donating time, talent, and direct financial support. The recipient demonstrates a strong philanthropic spirit, and his or her actions motivate others to give of themselves.

Advocate of the Year Nomination Form
This award is presented to an AANA Foundation Advocate for outstanding commitment to the nurse anesthesia profession through individual support to the AANA Foundation and also encouragement of others to do the same.

Jack Neary Pain Management Award Form
This partial sponsorship award is designed to further the knowledge and skills of CRNAs in pain management and to offset the costs of attendance at the Advanced Pain Management Workshop.

"State of the Science"
General and Oral Poster Presentation

An opportunity for CRNAs and nurse anesthesia students to present their research findings and innovative educational approaches through oral and poster presentations. Research, literature reviews, and innovative, creative techniques in anesthesia are appropriate topics. A $1,000 award accompanies presentation.

Doctoral Fellowship Application
Support CRNAs actively engaged in doctoral studies that evidence a strong commitment to research. Recipients possess the vision to impact the health care system as a doctorally prepared CRNA.

Post Doctoral Fellowship Application
Funding will be awarded to CRNAs who, having been awarded the doctorate, are involved actively in the development of a research program. The goal of this program is to support nurse anesthetists who evidence a strong commitment to nurse anesthesia and are seeking to develop a research program.

CRNA Palmer Carrier Scholarship
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a doctorate degree program, at a nationally accredited university to enhance their professional development as a leader in research. Preference is given to applicants who have received candidacy status in their doctoral program. Funding at $5,000.

Doctoral Mentorship Application
This program is designed to encourage researchers to build a body of CRNA research.

Student Opportunities

Student Scholarships
Scholarships are available to all nurse anesthesia students currently enrolled in an accredited nurse anesthesia program. Students must be in good standing within the attended program and meet the specific scholarship requirements outlined in the application.

Program Director's Outstanding Student Researcher 
The Program Director's Outstanding Student Researcher Award, established in 1999, is presented to a senior nurse anesthesia student from the nurse anesthesia program. The Award recognizes the student's work in research and commitment to the profession of nurse anesthesia to advance the art and science of anesthesiology.
