Recertification Summit Presentation:
The provider nondiscrimination law, enacted in 2010 and taking effect this year, prohibits health plans from discriminating against qualified licensed healthcare professionals solely on the basis of their licensure. AANA, COA and NBCRNA wrote letters supporting the law on behalf of the profession.
AANA is saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Maya Angelou, who was scheduled to be the 2014 Nurse Anesthesia Annual Congress keynote speaker. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and all who knew her or admired her and her work.
