Stanley White, CRNAStanley 'Stan' Warren White, 58, died Oct. 28, 2009, at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center in Alamosa, Colo. Stan was born Nov. 13, 1950, in Tulsa, Okla., the son of Russell E. and M.Louise Walker White. He married his wife of more than 32 years, Selma Goering, on Aug. 13, 1977 in Wichita, Kan.

Stan was a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and worked passionately at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center.

He enjoyed many outdoor activities including hunting, snowmobiling, skiing, fishing, scuba diving, swimming, motorcycles, boating, camping and horses. In his spare time he enjoyed working on guns, as well as working on various projects encompassing his home and cars. Stan was an avid car collector and a true "Jack of all trades" that could work on and fix just about anything. He also loved to spend time with his family and friends, practice the arts of photography, cooking, playing the drums and making music, as well as bowling. One of his greatest passions was helping others.

Stan is survived by his wife, Selma Goering White of Alamosa; his children Samuel Warren White, Hannah Rose White, Rebekah Louise White and Rachel Elizabeth White-Garcia, all of Alamosa; sisters Debbie (Mark) Wade and Sue White, both of Tulsa; his mother-in-law Amparo Goering of Wichita; his sisters-in-law Carmen (Kevin) Loeffler of Newton, Kan., Becky Goering of Wichita, and Sara (Paul) Rasch Goering of Iowa City, Iowa, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

His parents, his brother Wendell, and his father-in-law, Robert Goering, preceded him in death.

Cremation was chosen with a celebration of life gathering at 4:30 p.m. Sat., Nov. 7, 2009, at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center Conference Center. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Stanley White Memorial Fund in care of the 1st SouthWest Bank of Alamosa. Rogers Family Mortuary of Alamosa is in care of the arrangements.
