Charline Taylor Shipley, 86, of Zeigler. Ill., passed away at 9 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at Franklin Hospital in Benton, Ill.
Charline was born July 10, 1923, in Franklin County, Ill. to Charles Edgar and Grace (Dial) Taylor. She married James Robert (Bob) Shipley November 24, 1956. He preceded her in death, October 3, 1994. Charline is survived by a son, Scott Shipley of Zeigler, Ill., and a friend, Kim Mitroka of Royalton, Ill. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was a son, Clay Shipley.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Zeigler, Ill., and the Zeigler Order of the Eastern Star.
Charline was a graduate of the Englewood School of Nursing in 1944, and the Ravenswood School of Anesthesia in 1955. She retired as Chief CRNA from Franklin Hospital in Benton, Illinois in 1987.
