AANA members gathered to conduct the business of the Association on the first day of the Annual Meeting, Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Moscone Center West in San Francisco. After hearing reports from the AANA President, Treasurer, and Executive Director/CEO, members voted on six proposed amendments to the AANA Bylaws and Standing Rules. Not-to-be-Missed Opening Ceremonies to be Held on Sunday

The AANA is hosting its second annual blood drive in the Moscone Center West Exhibit Hall Booth 635 on Monday, Aug. 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visit the Blood Drive booth to make an appointment. Donors can enter for a chance to win a $100 Movie Theater Gift Certificate, and summer donors are also eligible to enter to win a $2,500 Dream Vacation Grand Prize Drawing. Please seriously consider being a blood donor, and thank you in advance on behalf of your community blood supply and the American Red Cross!



Monday General Session Preview

You will not want to miss Larry Hornsby, CRNA, BSN, presenting “What’s My Worth” on Monday, Aug. 6, 7 to 9 a.m. in Moscone Center West Room 3006-3012. This lecture will focus on understanding your worth as a nurse anesthetist. Mr. Hornsby will explore ways to maximize your worth to your employer or institution and ways in which to help your employer understand your value. An AANA Past President, Hornsby is Senior Executive Vice President of AmSol, Moody, Ala.
