The AANA is bringing efficiency, convenience, and cutting edge technology to the 2012 Annual Meeting with its new electronic system for managing continuing education credits and session evaluations. As of this meeting, attendees will no longer fill out a paper CE record or evaluation—the system is now entirely electronic!
Here’s how it will work
- One of the first things you’ll notice that’s different this year is your badge—each one will have a barcode that is linked directly to you. This is important because your badge will not only allow you access into the Business Meeting and other member-only educational sessions that you have been previously registered for, but it will also provide a record of your attendance for each educational session.
- You will need to have your badge scanned before entering each session. When your badge is scanned, the CE credits you earn for that lecture will be automatically transferred to a document that you will receive via email at the end of the meeting.
- The AANA Convention and Meeting Planning Department and the Continuing Education Department are asking that you take the time to review this document to make sure everything is correct and you have been properly credited for the sessions you attended. Please note: The AANA is going to use the email on file with the Association, so if you have changed your email recently or are unsure of which email you have given to the AANA, please take the time as soon as possible before you begin attending educational sessions to confirm that your email on file with the AANA is current. You can easily update your email address by logging on to the AANA website (members section) and going to your profile.
- At the end of each day of the meeting you will receive an email with links to evaluations for the educational sessions you attended on that day. We urge you to please take the time to complete each of the session evaluations. The Program Committee values your input and uses information gathered from the evaluations to plan future meetings. Without your input, an important source of information for basing purposeful change for future meetings is lost.
Hang on to your badge!
Be sure to wear your badge throughout the meeting. There will be a $10 charge to replace lost badges.
