The AANA welcomes student registered nurse anesthetists (SRNAs) to the Annual Meeting by offering a full range of activities and programs to get them excited about their future profession and professional association. Two sessions will address the specific concerns of SRNAs on Saturday, Aug. 10.
At the Student Session, students will learn about topics important to their future as nurse anesthetists and vote for the next student representative to the AANA Education Committee. The session will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. in the Mirage Grand Ballroom. Speakers will include Elizabeth Grost, RN, BSN, fiscal year 2013 student representative to the Education Committee; Scott Rigdon, CRNA, MPH, a former student representative to the AANA Education Committee who is currently practicing in Grants Pass, Ore.; and Garry Brydges, CRNA, DNP, ACNP-BC, chief nurse anesthetist at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas
