Back by popular demand, the Ultrasound and Difficult Airway Open Labs will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday, with 1 CE credit available for each lab attended. New this year, Monday’s lab will be open from 2 to 4 p.m. for CRNAs only. In the Ultrasound lab (in Antigua), attendees will work on both live and phantom models to demonstrate proper ultrasound probe orientation and how to identify structures with the device. They will also utilize ultrasound technique for the performance of regional blocks.
The Difficult Airway lab (in St. Thomas) will teach attendees how to identify the landmarks in the upper airway that are pertinent to nontraditional techniques of intubation. They will then get some hands-on experience by integrating theoretical instruction with model application.
The Open Labs are included in Annual Meeting registration; no need to preregister.
