Check out the AANA Foundation Events and Activities

The Annual Meeting is the perfect time for members to become acquainted with the AANA Foundation, and support its efforts to advance the science of anesthesia through education and research. We invite you to a full range of sessions, events, and activities.

Pioneers Meeting
Anesthesia “Pioneers” have been meeting at the Annual Meeting since the early 1990s when Ruth Wright, CRNA, organized the first gathering to provide a place for retired CRNAs to get together at the AANA Annual Meeting. This year, the Foundation will hold its annual Pioneers Meeting on Saturday, August 10, 3 to 4 p.m., in Barbados A. This meeting provides retirees age 55 and older an opportunity to hear about the progress of the Foundation and enjoy visiting with old friends and make plans for Annual Meeting activities. This year we are once again reaching out to all retired CRNAs and Emeritus AANA members to attend this session. Dues are not required, but you may make a donation if you have a desire to assist in funding research and the future education of CRNAs.

AANA Foundation Fundraiser: Vegas –
The Stars Come Out at Night
Monday, August 12
Treasure Island Ballroom, Treasure Island, 3300 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Las Vegas

Hosted by Saturday Night Live’s Kenan Thompson, this year’s fundraiser will include Vegas-inspired food stations, drinks, a DJ, dancing, and an exciting talent competition featuring our very own CRNA and SRNA stars. Support your friends and colleagues and the Foundation by voting for your favorites ahead of time here and at the event. Two winners will be announced at the end of the evening. These tax-deductible dollar “votes” benefit the Foundation. We encourage guests to go all out and dress like a star or favorite celebrity.

Tickets are $225. If you have not yet purchased your ticket, contact the AANA Foundation at (847) 655-1170 to inquire about availability. Pre-reserved tickets will be included in your registration packet.

Proceeds benefit the AANA Foundation and its mission to advance the science of anesthesia through education and research.
